Among the highlands of Argentina, at the center of remote and arid territories, where the view gives way to vast openness and silence, the landscape transforms into an artist. Here we find ourselves at the essence of landscape creation where time as an ancient creator God has shaped an almost stark and fragile world. Bare dunes, eroded soils and endless horizons capture the essence of time. 

 

Puna is a high-altitude plateau. It is a lonely, thought-provoking place, a world of opposites, where minimal forms meet colors and the contrast between light and dark creates unique visions.

 

In this gallery I have collected the most significant shots of this high-altitude journey among deserts, lagoons, volcanoes and boundless fields of pumice stone. A journey through inner sensations even before its pristine landscapes. A quiet land where one can perceive the slow and gradual work of the wind and especially of time that have made these places true palettes of colors.
